The ABCs of Bingo
In some places, bingo is used as a medium for teaching kids several lessons in school. One lesson that is taught by teachers in school using the fundamentals of gambling game is the alphabet. It was proven that with the basics of this gambling game, teachers were able to teach their students better about the alphabet.
Also, the incorporation of the alphabet in bingo patterns is helpful for organizations to promote their cause. When organizations hold bingo sessions, sometimes the patterns spell out the theme they are promoting to the gambling players as of the moment.
Here are some of the most commonly used patterns that depict letters of the alphabet:
Letter M - this is a simple bingo pattern to form, plus it only requires few numbers to be covered. For a gambling player to win, he or she must be the first one to cover all the numbers in the first and last columns and the second number in the second and fourth columns. This pattern is easy to remember because gambling players just need to imagine how the letter M looks like.
Letter S - Unlike the letter M, this pattern does not use the full width of the bingo card. In this pattern, gambling players must cover the middle three numbers at the top, middle and bottom rows of their bingo cards, the second number at the second column and the fourth number at the fourth column.
Letter F - if you know how the Letter E pattern goes, this should not be a problem for a gambling player like you. To complete this pattern, gambling players should be able to cover all the numbers in the first column of their bingo cards. Not only that, they also have to cover the first and third numbers in the second column and the first numbers in the third and fourth columns as well.
Letter H - it is safe to say that this pattern is as simple as the Letter M pattern. Gambling players must be able to cover the first and last columns and the middle row of their bingo cards to win.
Letter W - nothing could be more like the Letter M pattern than this pattern here. The W pattern is achieved by creating an inverted M. This means that gambling players must cover all the numbers in the first and last columns and the fourth number in both second and fourth columns.
